Intro To Entrepreneurship Week 6

Intro To Entrepreneurship Week 6 This week I learned a great deal about interests in being an entrepreneur. I read that success is gauged by self mastery, which I think is true. entrepreneurship to me is self driven, it is up to the person how far the they want to go. Their motivation is driven by personal desire, success, money, and sometimes family. I think it is important to master yourself in a way. Figure out what is best for you, what drives you to do things. If we self discipline our selves, than we can become hard worker. In the video "The Entrepreneur and the Family", I learned how hard it is to begin a start up with having a family. There is a part in there where the speakers says that if you are single and want to begin a start up, than stay single. He talked about time consuming it is to do so, and that it is better to stay single and devote time. Something else he talked about was when he had a family, he would still devote time to work. It is not for everyone,...

Intro To Entrepreneurship Week 5

Intro To Entrepreneurship Week 5 Some of the key takeaways from A Hero's journey was the meaning. The meaning is to live every moment of your life like it matters. This is true because we basically living through life. Gaining experiences, learning, growing, making mistakes, and having lessons. We have a path that leads us to somewhere, and the journey is what brings us closer to our destination. We will remember our journey, why we have taken it.  Advice is what many of us seek. We seek it from out peers, role model, celebrities, and people that we look up to. Weather or not their advice is sound, it may prove to be validation to the listener. I suggest receiving advice from someone that you know, and not necessarily from a celebrity. That way it can be someone you trust, and be more genuine.  Three questions really piqued people's minds at the end of their life; Have I contributed something meaningful? Am I a good person? And who did I love, and who loved me? These que...

Intro To Entrepreneurship Week 4

Intro To Entrepreneurship Week 4 This week I have learned much from the modules. In the readings and videos, we watched one video called "Do what you love" by Tom Kelly, General Manager of IDEO. He basically just talked about what the title entails, "do what you love". Something that he said also made me think. He said that perhaps that you might really good at match and numbers. That does not mean you should work as a high school math teacher, if you really like cooking and desire that. Or maybe you are very skillful at computers and technology. This does not mean you need to work as computer engineer, even though you are good at it. These comments made me really think that I truly want to do something for the rest of my life.  Another thing that I want to reflect that I really  enjoyed the past week was "Deconstructing my fear experience".  I loved how I had the opportunity to discuss some of them, and learn from Mark Twain that he was man with many fea...

Intro To Entrepreneurship Week 3

For me I learned about business ethics, why it is important, and business in life. I enjoyed the case study for Magdalena Yesil, and her life story. To me, it was quite inspiring. I loved and enjoyed her work ethic, motivation, and career. I desire that and want to be an excellent worker, inspiring, and a go getter. We had a discussion about her from the case study. I love interacting with the other classmates about the case and see what we could learn from each other. There was a case study assignment to respond to questions that was related to Madalena Yesil.  We answered questions in an essay format. These were a lot about her career and placing ourselves in Yesil's shoes. It made me think what I would do, and how I would act. I do desire to become a good hard worker, and showcase my skills and what I can do.  We also had an assignment about morals. I enjoyed this assignment bec...
